David Portal is back in studio, this time with his own project.  He brought his single Bumblebee to Ditch Road Records to have it mixed.  We reamped a couple instruments and tracked a couple bars of guitar and then we were off to mix.  The song is really a great track with a cool pop and R&B feel.  I look forward to seeing more of David’s work as we move on to the album.

The morning started off with Damon Bihm, David Portal, Randall Harris, and team.  Damon is the co-founder and CEO of B-mor cartoons.  Check them out at http://bmorcartoons.com/.  We tracked vocals, reamped guitar, bass, and key tracks, and mixed the final song.  It was a non-stop session where we got more done than expected in a 6 hour session.  David Portal wrote and performed the cut.  Check out the debut album due out this summer from his group The Yellow Squares.
