This is a first for the studio! It may not be the top 100, but I have always felt that Dr. Demento has much better taste than the general record buying public. Ryan Hopak & The Happy Chinchillas f/ Dana Shaw came in a couple months ago to record the parody Titanic.

Sisaret In Studio and On Set

Sisaret came into the studio in the end of February to record two new songs. We spent two full days making sure that we took the time to get it all done properly. The resulting tracks certainly proved that we took the right coarse of action!

More recently, they asked me to shoot and direct their music video for “Organize”. I was happy to be a part of this project. The new video was released yesterday. Here it is.

In the coming months, I will be taking the stage with the band on bass for a handful of live shows. Great band, great friends, and no shortage of good times getting together with them.

Ryan Hopak wrote a parody of Alanis Morissette’s Ironic about the Titanic. The lyrics were very funny and we had a good laugh even while we were working. Dana Shaw came in to do the vocals to a backing track. The end result looked a lot time this. I am looking forward to seeing what Ryan comes up with for the next song parody.

David James is Working on His Next Album

David has been working on a batch of new songs for his next album. We have been working at an amazing pace. We have been getting drums, bass, guitars, and vocals done on each track in about 6 to 8 hours. We have both been very happy with the results. We have been experimenting with many different guitar sounds and even surprising ourselves with what we have been able to commit to the tracks. Looking forward to many more great sessions in the weeks and months ahead.

HB Back in Studio After A Long Break

It was great to see HB back in the studio after quite some time. He was one of my very first clients once I moved back to this area. We did a lot of work together and then he decided to take some time to focus on other things. It is nice to see that he is getting back into the music. I look forward to finishing some of the projects that were left in limbo. Always great to see Henry.

Travis Jay in Studio to Finish the Travisty Album

This album has been a long time in the making. The first half of the album has been mixed. There are a few minor tweaks on a few tracks and then they will all be mixed as well. The results from what have been finished already are above expectations… which were very high to begin with. This album has evolved and grown. It has really taken on a life of its own at this point. It is closer than it has ever been. The finish line is so close…

Craig M. Friberg is Back in Studio

Craig has come back with another album’s worth of great songs. We have started the process of putting the finishing touches on the songs by adding that last little bit of what is needed to be able to release the album. The final touches has included some EQ, Noise reduction, compression, and mastering. As soon as we get the final approval of the tracks, they will go off to the duplication house.

Linnette came into the studio to record some piano tracks for a school project. She is a great player at a pretty young age. I look forward to working again with her soon to further develop some of her songs into complete productions.

Precious came into the studio to tracks several country covers. She is a great singer and very fun to work with. There was no shortage in laughs! We somehow managed to get several songs done too. I look forward to working with her again soon.
